(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – Schools will soon close their doors for break and the students will settle into a relaxed state for summer. That makes it a perfect time to send those relaxed youngsters to athletic summer camps at Trinidad State Junior College. TSJC is offering basketball and volleyball camps at Scott Gym this year.
Men's Basketball is up first with a four-day camp starting on June 12 and running through June 15. The camp runs each morning from 9am to noon and is open to boys in grades five through eight. Cost is $60 per camper and each camper will receive a TSJC Camp T-shirt. Men's Basketball head coach Mike Folda, now in his eighth year at TSJC will lead instruction at the camp.
Rich Holden, head women's basketball coach at Trinidad State, his assistant Destiny Bragman and some of the Trojan players will lead a girls basketball camp starting June 21 and running through June 23. Two sessions will run with campers in grades three to six meeting in the mornings from 8:30am until noon, and then grades seven through twelve will meet from 1:30pm to 5pm each day. Cost is $60 and each camper will receive a camp T-shirt.
Finally, near the end of summer, the TSJC Volleyball team, led by Coach Melissa Hardman will host a volleyball camp. Starting August 8 and running until August 10, the camp will also have two separate sessions. Campers in grades six through eight will meet in the mornings from 10am until noon, and then campers in High School will meet from 1pm until 3pm. Cost for the Volleyball camp is $65.
It should be an exciting summer at TSJC so make plans for the kids to come out, have fun, and get some exercise all while gaining knowledge from the coaches and athletes at Trinidad State Junior College.
