Lewis commits to Southern Indiana

(TRINIDAD, CO) – Trojan sophomore right-handed pitcher Dalton Lewis has committed to one of the top NCAA Division II programs in the country, Southern Indiana University. The Screaming Eagles finished 2016 with a region title and a birth in the National Tournament. They ended up 12th in the national polls.

Lewis is ready to take the mound for the Trojans this spring, after sitting last season out with an injury. Two years ago he helped lead the Trojans to their second of three straight Region IX crowns. Lewis came to TSJC from Mountain Vista High School in Parker, Colorado. In 2015 he appeared in eight games for TSJC, starting four. He finished the season with a 1-0 record with 10 strikeouts.

Lewis will head to Indiana in the fall to play for four-time Midwest Regional Coach of the Year Tracy Archuleta as the Screaming Eagles attempt to continue their run of success in NCAA DII baseball.
