Broomfield utility player signs with Trinidad State

(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – Avery Bohn, a utility player from Broomfield High School, recently signed to play for Trinidad State Junior College with the 2017-2018 class. Bohn, who was coached in high school by former TSJC Softball coach Paula Seifried, was a second team CHSAA All-State selection this past year. She ended her senior year hitting .461 with 41 hits and only stuck out five times in 99 plate appearances.

"We are very excited for Avery to be a part of the Lady Trojan Softball family," Trinidad State Softball coach Steve Swazo said. "She comes from a great high school program, has been coached by a great coach and swings a great bat. We believe she will be very successful while at Trinidad State."

Bohn was also selected to the Colorado Coaches Girls Sports All-State team, named 2016 BoCoPreps.com All-Region, and took part in the All-State Softball game. Her high school team was the 5A runner-up at the 2016 State Softball Tournament. She was selected CHSAA Academic All-State the past four years and was named to the Les Schwab Academic All-State Team the past three years.

She is the daughter of Shari and Steve Bohn.
