(TRINIDAD, Colo.) – Trinidad State Junior College Softball coach Steve Swazo is proud to announce the signing of Jamie Leon, an outfielder from Citrus Valley High School in Highland, California. Leon, who is entering her senior season of softball, hit .403 last year as a junior and was selected Defensive Player-of-the-Year.
"Leon will help us in the outfield for next year. We are excited that she chose Trinidad State," softball coach Steve Swazo said. "She comes from Citrus Valley High School which is the same high school of former Trinidad State player Samantha Glover, who now is a junior playing softball at Eastern New Mexico University. Leon is a slapper and can cover a lot of ground in the outfield."
As a junior, Leon also received Second-Team All-CBL League and her sophomore year was selected Most Valuable Player on the team. She is a member of the travel ball team EI Prospects and is the daughter of Pat and Arlene Leon.
